Healthcare cargo, cleared and delivered with care
You decide what moves. We run the South African end: clearing it quickly and getting it to your facility.
The range is agreed before the booking is made. Where the shipment is packed with data loggers, the readings stay with the shipment file.
How a shipment moves
- PlanProduct, temperature range, permits and routing agreed with you before anything is booked.
- PackPacking and conditioning for the range is arranged at origin, with the steps documented by the packer.
- FlyScheduled air cargo, or an on-board courier when it is truly urgent.
- ClearOur licensed team prepares the entry before landing so the cargo does not wait at the airport.
- DeliverDirect to your facility in South Africa, or across the border into SADC.
Permits and licences
Medicines and many healthcare products are regulated in South Africa. Pharmaceutical cargo moves subject to the permits and licences required. Tell us what you hold, and we confirm what is still needed before anything is booked.
Questions we get
Do I need permits?
Many products, and medicines in particular, are regulated in South Africa. We confirm what is required for your cargo before booking, and pharmaceutical cargo moves subject to the permits and licences required.
How long does it take?
For ordinary cargo, Europe to Cape Town or Johannesburg is typically three to five days door to door by air, including clearing. Regulated cargo such as medicines can take longer while permits are checked. We confirm the schedule when we quote.
What about duty and VAT?
We work out duty and import VAT from the tariff classification before the cargo lands and show it in the same written landed cost as freight and delivery.
Who do I deal with?
One desk in Cape Town or Johannesburg, from the quote to delivery at your door.
One written landed cost, usually within one working day. No obligation.
